Xmas_08_01

Gavin awarded me approximately 3 minutes of his precious time to take his annual Christmas photos.  Good thing I work well under pressure.  Above, he is reminding you to hang your stockings!  Below, the customary "stocking shot", and previous years' for comparison.  My, oh my, how they do grow.

May the Season bring Blessings to you & yours.  Have a wonderful Christmas.  Jeni

Buried
This doesn't even show the effects of our latest snowfall as most of it has been shovelled & snowblown.  This is my husband helping to clear out our neighbour's driveway.  Yesterday, the snow was almost up to my knees and all came down between dropping my son off at school & picking him up.  My car got stuck in the driveway, so I had to walk to pick him up. I was completely exhausted by the time I arrived at the school and felt like dropping to my knees by the time I got home with him, half dragging him on the sled & half making the poor kid walk.  He was such a little trooper though, and spent a good half hour shovelling the walkway while I snowblowed --and I hadn't even asked him to help!

Check out this six month old cutie!  I have to say, "H" has the most unique eye colour I've ever seen; somewhere between slate & a dark cup of coffee --beautiful!

We discovered while chit chatting (yes, I do a lot of that!), that P & my husband are not only from the same hometown, they were in the same graduating class in highschool.  Small world!

Thank you F family, I had a great time, a lovely Winter Wonderland drive to your beautiful home, and H couldn't have cooperated better.

Yes, I've been neglecting this poor blog terribly lately, but with good reason.  My husband and I were given an opportunity of a lifetime, to travel Peru with our friends for their wedding.  Not only was it an honour to share in their wedding, they also planned an entire tour of Lima, Cusco, and Machu Picchu for our Canadian group, complete with Incan tour guide, bus and train travel.  It was an amazing trip that I would gladly do again.  The people were friendly, shopping endless, food absolutely incredible, and views that took your breath away. Just to prove I was there, here is a pic of me and my husband at the Larcomar shopping centre on Lima's coast.
