Injuries02

Before anyone calls CPS on me, it's "Fake Injury Day" at Gavin's school.  No further details were sent home, so I could only assume that we were to send our children to school looking like they had endured a freak, household accident.  Feeling nervous and afraid no one else had "injured" their chidren, I dropped him off at school, relieved to see other blackened eyes, crutches and multiple bandages.  Gavin's various injuries even garnered mock concern from the Vice Principal as to whether or not he'd fallen while sleepwalking last night.  He assured her, it was just clown make up and that he was fine.  As a mother, just seeing him like this makes me want to kiss all those pretend boo boos over & over.

Introducing... Ninja Wall*E, and his trusty side kicks, Ninja Mo, and of course, Ninja Eve.

My son's most recent favourite companions apparently needed alter egos.  His first attempt at Ninja Wall*E's costume included about half a roll of Scotch tape, coloured over with black marker -washable black marker, which equals black marker smudged all over little hands and anything those little hands come into contact with.  Once I reminded him that his markers are only to be used on paper, I peeled off every little bit of tape and came up with a better idea. He was quite impressed at my costume making skill.  He decided that each needed their names printed on them in case we didn't remember who they were, what with the disquises and all. ;)

Tom

It is with great sadness that I must report the passing of our Uncle Tom.  He passed Peacefully at York Central Hospital, Richmond Hill on Monday, January 5, 2009.  Tom Evans, in his 77th year will be sadly missed by his wife Margie of 42 years, three children, Charlie (Jane), Peter and Libbie (Colin) and six grandchildren Jack, Will, Charlotte, Sam, Andy and Patrick. He will be remembered with great fondness by many family and friends.

The Health Club won't be the same without you.
